She got me feenin…

Posted in The Rules of Attraction on Sep 20, 2007

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Something about being in someone’s face all the time or them being around you all the time… it is way too easy to get tired of that person or vice versa. I like space or I have grown to like space in the last 2 years or so. I don’t love it but I like it. I like to think & work and not have to worry if I’m ignoring the person that is around me. When I want them around, I want them around. Period.

I always find it over-exciting not seeing someone for like 1-2 weeks and then you get to see that person and you feel all this anticipation.

It damn near drives me crazy.

When you on top (read, smothering) of someone all the time its not always good. It can be later on in the situation but at first its easy to get burnt out.

Ideally you want the other person to miss you. It creates desire. If it doesn’t, then that person probably isn’t that into you.

Just a thought I thought I’d share.

I am inclined to agree with you. In some cases however, one of the people involved doesn’t fully comprehend “Baby, I need some space”. Instead, they take it as my partner is cheating or doesn’t want me.

while I totally agree with your post, I just wanted to add that it is very important that both parties are on the same page.

I definitely agree with Doxa, both parties should be on the same page; however I want to add just a little something to the point….a lot of men make the mistake of omitting the fact that they indeed want space. As women how are we supposed deduce that that is what you want. Without the doors of communication being open, there leaves tons and tons of room for assumptions. “Did I do something wrong”?, “Why isn’t he not calling me”?, “Did I say something to offend him”? These series of doubts or questions can be avoided if the air was or gets cleared from jump. After having said that, the door can definitely swing both ways. By the time men are through with their “space”, women can and often will give them all the space they need, by dropping them and moving on to someone new. Just something I wanted to put out there.

i think that your right… not seeing someone and then all of a sudden seeing that face that you have been missing for oh so long makes all the feelings and emotions come back… like the day u 1st met…. so yeah space is very much needed
